What do I get from the HQS course?

For better or for worse, each individual is a participant in life. There are fundamental laws regarding the way life operates. Knowing and applying the understanding of them puts one at cause over them.

Familiarization with these laws can make life less complicated and confusing providing tools to improve the quality of life for themselves or others. - This is what the Hubbard Qualified Scientologist Course provides its students.

The HQS course offers a comprehensive overall walkthrough of core Scientological concepts and fundamentals. A student on this course will study six of LRH's foundational books and be given a thorough introduction to the subject of Scientology. They will watch one of the only filmed interviews with L. Ron Hubbard, one in which he discusses the "how" behind developing Dianetics and Scientology and explains his philosophy.

Also contained are several practical assignments granting the student an opportunity to apply what has been learned to real-life circumstances and events. From this application, they'll learn to apply the data conceptually and see for themself how these concepts work, which in turn makes them their own, rather than a solely literary endeavor.

The student will learn basic Scientology auditing processes as well as gain experience in applying them to others. They will drill the core tenets of communication and learn the correct protocol for delivering an auditing* session. They will drill various auditing techniques, then both audit another as well as receive auditing sessions themself. These techniques include methods for assisting a myriad of physical and cognitive vulnerabilities, such as those suffering from the pain of illness(es) or an accident, quickly sobering up an intoxicated person, to processes that considerably raise someone's awareness of their past. Processes that are so powerful, yet simple to apply, that with proper administration, entirely alleviate individual unwanted behaviors and states in most.

Using the Hubbard Qualified Scientologist Course, a person will achieve an excellent command of what 'this Scientology stuff' is and what it's all about, see it working within others, and experience (and recognize) it working for themselves.

Glossary

Assists - A set of simple, easily done processes that can be applied to anyone to help them recover more rapidly from accidents, mild illness or upsets.

Auditing - The application of Scientology processes and procedures to someone by a trained auditor. The exact definition of auditing is: The action of asking a pre-clear* a question (which she/he can understand and answer), and getting an answer to that question and acknowledging she/he for that answer.

Clear - A person who no longer has a reactive mind..*

Engrams - 1) A mental image picture which is a recording of a time of physical pain and unconsciousness. It must by definition have impact or injury as part of its content. 2) A specialized kind of facsimile. This differs from other mental pictures because it contains, as part of its content, unconscious- ness and physical pain. 3) A complete recording, down to the last accurate detail, of every perception present in a moment of partial or full unconsciousness.

Pre-Clear - 1) The term is principally used to describe a person who, through Independent Scientology processing, is finding out more about herself/himself and life. 2) Someone who has not reached the state of Clear* yet through Independent Scientology auditing

Reactive Mind - 1) A portion of a person's mind which works on a totally stimulus-response basis, which is not under his volitional control, and which exerts force and the power of command over his awareness, purposes, thoughts, body and actions. 2) Stored in the reactive mind are engrams*, and here we find the single source of aberrations and psychosomatic ills.
